Simon Says Stamp Kit 2014 April

This is my second card for today - or being truthfully - last night!! I had to wait for some good light until today. I received my   Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month APRIL 2014 You Brighten My Day  a couple of days ago and wanted to make a couple before it was too late!!! 

I used the gorgeous Glittered Chevron Sugarcoated Black Paper by Doodlebug along with the stamps from the kit. I stamp the lightbulb with Ranger Super Fine Silver Embosssing Bowder.

The cardstock is from the Kit but the 'rays' are stamped with a mixture of Simon Says Stamp Inks in School House Red, Orance Peel and Sunshine.

I finished with a sentiment from the Kit along with the gorgeous MME enamel Dots from the kit.

  

Now I keep losing my Internet connection again so you might not see me again for how!!

Another happy coincidence - the Gods are smiling at me at the moment. This is a card I happened to make for Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month APRIL 2014 You Brighten My Day and believe it of not I actually used the Turquoise Glittered Chevron Sugarcoated Black Paper by Doodlebug in the Kit.

I'm not sure what tie white embossed paper is - it came out of my Simon Says box of goodies so it mist be one of theirs, anyway it was screaming to be used and added the circle which had a cut out init I added  Simon Says Stamp Folded Banner along with their  Clear Stamptember

Now to get back to the coincidence the new challenge for Less is More is..................

Aurora Wings - My Lotus Sprite !!

I've managed another of Mitzi's delightful image 'Lotus Sprite'  - I have to say I struggled with this one.

I  visited a Buddhist Temple whilst I was in Sri Lanka - it just blew my away - physically, mentally and spiritually!!! The grounds themselves were amazing but in the temple itself there where large bowls of Lotus flowers and smaller bowls were of Lotus petals - beautiful pale pink with the most beautiful aroma - it says with me forever - a installs in me a feeling calm and peace.

Now, after my quick nostalgic trip to Sri Lanka I shall talk about the card - I could never re-produce the beautiful of the Lotus flowers in real live but this is the as good as I could get. I  wanted to embellish this card rather than my usual the image with a frame,  I did find some huge flowers which I took apart and took them together trying to look a little like lotus flower.

I punched a frame from Martha Stewart and added a few other bits and pieces and at the end of it I feel reasonably happy!!

I have just received this new Simon Says Stamp Stencil Medium Dots - I just love it - you will probably be seeing this quite a lot, I love dots and stripes and checks all for making my one backgrounds and using whatever colour scheme takes my fancy!!!

I coordinated the Simon Says inks with Simon Says Cardstock Sea Glass and Cotton Candy along with their Sea Glass and Cotton Candy - I love the results!!! Nextly I added the gorgeous Simon  Clustered Leaves and wanted to add this little Tilda 'Fairy Dust Tilda ' blowing kisses and she fit beautifully in the circle - I went storming on, finished the card but didn't realise this image is now out of stock - ooops - too lage!!!

I added the 'Happy' from the Happy Sentiment & Die set and the  Simon Says Stamp Folded Banner with their Clear Stamp Love This. The Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch added a little flowers around the  Clustered Leaves .

This is the inside of the card wish is the basic same although altered slightly about the 'dots'

I added the Clustered Leaves and a Magnolia Champagne glass (another oops out of stock )

Time for a new challenge at Everybody Art Challenge and this week our theme is....

I wan't sure what to do for this challenge - I have a fabulous Bo Bunny stamp watch image but it didn't 'float my boat' I think because I was in the mood for colouring!!!

I have many (very many) fabulous images from Zoe's  Make it Crafty and decided to use one of those. Did I use one of the ones I had - NO (nothing sensible) - just popped into the store and bought a couple more - I fell in love with this adorable The White Rabbit digi stamp - such a cuttie - to those  added a couple pf the Whimsical Beanstalk digi stamp.

I did say it took be ages colouring them in but such run - I just added some twine and a clock charms and that's it. I think I would like to do all the Alice in Wonderland characters!!!
