Simon Says Stamp Card Kit 2014

Oooo - this is very pink for me isn't it ??

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit 2014 I love it - it is full of beautiful colours and papers - these are Basic Grey  the "Fresh Cuts". I think you all know I love my Basic Grey products and I shall certainly buying one of the  Fresh Cuts Pad. 

I use the  Simon Says Stamp Large Holiday shapes through the card and in the sentiment paned - the sentiment is from the Kit but stamped with Clearsnap Colorbox Tulip Filed

Having been away I was short of time to create a card for this week - I know what I wanted to do - it wouldn't go and ended up with two of the  Mama Elephant So Breezy images so  used one for the inner of the card - below.  I would like to use water paints to create the scene to use the images - one day!!!

Once I had made the card and photographed it I realized I should have used Twine - what a Dumbo!!!  Without starting from fresh I managed to life the top black sentiment and added some Hemptique Black Twine, tied a bow and added a couple of two beads to the bow - it hardly shows but at least the twine is there!!!.

I have used the Saturated Canary image Nevaeh, I coloured the image whilst I was in the UK with no Copics so used Prismacolor pencils.  

I have only just returned to Germany so are now leaving a quick post and hopefully I can now do some catching up - being with out a computer is a nightmare!!!

Di's BIO:  {I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like-minded people.  I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue! }

I'm back - from UK cold  torrential downpours to Germany heavy snow and -16 temperature!!

My first job needs to shop - my fridge is empty - then I shall settle do and catch up making cards and commenting.  My baby computer (a Netbook)  died and I had to take it to the Computer Dr. - I got it back as I traveled back home so  not being anything to do - I felt lost!!!

I used the Core'dinations Whitewash, embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing folder Textile and sanded the white to show the colour through. I used the Simon Says Stamp HeartRainfall, added the Dreamweaver Embossing paste - I inked them with the Hero Arts  Soft Pink - because I was in a hurry I heat dried them which left the tiny hears cracked - I rather liked the cracked look, probable not here but will certainly try it again on other things.

I shall now hope to see you all soon whilst I catch up !!!

I think this is my last post before I get back to Germany - my little Netbook computer has died - or at least it is very sick so I shall have to take it to the Computer Doc, I've borrowed my daughter and it has taken me from 8 in the morning until now - it has so many 'blocks' on them it takes me forever to do the slightest thing so I'm surrendering for blogging for now!!!
