I have been asked would it be possible to create a card 7"x 5" that is the same way as the
Envelope/Box card is in my Tutorial page, I managed put couldn't make it as deep as the original Envelope Box without using larger that 12" paper.
This is the result - other than that I usually make a 6"x 6" box and I am in the process of making one for a tutorial.
This is the basic measurements.
The paper is cut from 12" x 9" (30cm x 22.5cms)
Here are the step by step follow
Mark the fist line 3" (8.75cms)
The second line 3.75" up (7.5cms)
Mark along the longer edges 3.75" (2cms)
Cut the lines from the edges from the top and bottom score.
Mark the red lines within .375" (2cms)
Score all the lines.
I cornered the edges just to make it a little neater and glue two of the sides.
I usually use 'Remoistenable Envelope Glue' to close the envelope/box , sometimes added papers to cover or used a tag as above.
I have made a card, slightly smaller (actually 6.75" x 4.85") which is a DT card but will show this tomorrow.
Your can see although the flowers are rather bulky and the 'envelopcard' is not very deep the card will still fit.
If you have any questions or problems, please email me - rica369@gmail.com - with pleasure!!
