O L Y M P I C S

That's right! Create anything representing the Olympic Games. The possibilities are endless. We were inspired by Nations, Flags, Countries, Sports, Teams, Athletes, Colors, Results, Medals; Gold, Silver, Bronze, World Records and Olympic Records, Summer/Winter Games, Olympic Rings, ...etc...

Gosh this is bright,  not like me at all!!!!

I couldn't get the image I wanted so I had to do an about turn and start again with something different.

I have cut out three different  images and added each of them a winner's medal, supposedly on a dais. 

I used Basic Grey's Obscure, which I thought would be nice and bright - err - phew!!!  I did warn't you!!!

I so hope you will all manage to join in with out at House Mouse and Friends challenge this week and promise your eyes won't heart like kin!!!  

I'm having a problem with my computer (again) and it keeps jamming and I have to switch it off and re-start it so commenting is very slow - just bear with me please!!!

Playtime with Tilda !!!

I decided to have a little play time to day and make a card for nothing other than FUN!!

My image is Tilda with Anchor Tilda with Anchor   and colours with  Copics. The border is coloured with using  embossed using Colour pox Inks and and coloured with a stamp by Stempelglede grunge stamps.

I've used a Magnolia Vintage Tag and Swirly Lace around the edge to simulate waves. Magnolia asre Cherry Blossom Flowers and Roses plus a the other odds and sods.
Crealies are the leaves, a doily and my last little seahorse is added. Finally I have made some thin cord swisted to looke like a rope.

The inside of the card I at the moment keeping very simple

On this occasion I have added her lid with the same inside of the card but without the doily.

Simon Says..............ANYTHING GOES

The design team have created some awesome projects for your inspiration, we are all featuring the amazing new Simon Says Stamp Dies !
you don't have to use them to join in but we would love to see them used if you have them 

Simon Says Stamps Bella Bloom  Die

The embossing are Cuttlebug folders  Seeing Spots and Textile

The flowers are from Sizzix, there are a very old die that I have worn out, if they were still available I would have replaced it, meanwhile I can't make my mind up what the alternative is so I am now a resigned to a mixture of use the die  and snipping with scissors!! 

Maya Road Pearl Pins fastened with Net Crinoline and used Ranger Embossing Powder and used to a

Heat Gun with silver for the sentiment and Foam Pads to attach some of the pads together to create tetxure.

This was a nightmare trying to get a decent photograph, it will take me the rest of the day to clear out my camera!!!

You all know me how much I love flowers and making them and I love the tissue with these Simon Says Stamps Bella Bloom  Die  so I have made a small tutorial to how them now.

I used about several (about 8) layers of tissue, spread them and then  scrunched together wish a small brad temporarily.
I added the same with the smaller flower, joined them post together, added some wire and a small bead  to fasten them together.
I used ribbon to create a stem but ended up with the cat thought I had made them of her new toy so I put them in the glass jar!!!

A Gift Card for Wee Suzi

I needed a gift card for a friend so decided to make it as an envelope together with  card.

 The papers are Basic Grey's Plumeria and my image is Wee Suzi and coloured in a between Copics and Polychromos.

I've make a pocket in the inside for a small gift token.

The lid of the packet the is used a Nestabilitie and decorated it with a Magnalia's swirl and Marianne's Creatabilites and finished with Prima's 'Forever Flowers'.

The rear of the pack pas part of the Plumeria papers back so I decided to leaf it alone!!!

Midweek Reminder for Summer Fun

Here is the House Mouse and Friends Midweek challenge - I do think some one had reminded me  tee-hee!!!

The Hoppy  is called 'Bunny in Paradise' and coloured him with Copics.
The border is by Martha Stewart and I attached one bow and a small shell charm.
Now Hoppy does look like Paradise and I wish I could just be doing this at the moment!!!
That is about everything which is good as I am so late!!!

Basic Grey and Things with Wings

Thanks to everyone who entered our Fun in The Sun Challenge and now it time for our new challenge here at Basic Grey Challenges.

Now onto our new challenge which hopefully is a nice and easy one:

 "Things With Wings"  

I have Honey Tilda and  used coloured with Distress Inks

The sentiment and border (called New Year swirl) and both by Magnolia and the papers are Eskimo Kisses I have used Magnolia Flourish along with a variatiety of  flowers of Magnolia and Prima.

Small Pearl Brads are attached to the silk bow

The Memory Box is Madera Corner ussed Doilies over the corner.
