House Mouse & Friends............Paper Piecing !!!

** NEW CHALLENGE, HMFMC178***

Our very talented Dorte Kvist is hosting next and has chosen this super FUN theme;

~Paper Piecing~

Papercraft paper piecing is;  cutting pieces out from a design and layering them on paper. This is a versatile technique and easily adapted. Rubber stamps designs are often used for paper piecing projects. A design can be stamped several times on a piece of paper and then these can be cut and adhered to a project. See Paper Piecing for a step by step guide to this technique.

ALL challenges have the alternate option of *ANYTHING GOES* too!  So come PLAY ALONG with us and enter your projects using stamps, CD images or decoupage by;

I'm set posting this card today and still late!!! I've been having a problem of uploading Inlinkz - is me, is it just the story of my life ??? I've Iinkzed as much as possible and add as possible as the rest.
This is one of my very farouite little Christmas mousies and is called 'Stocking Full of Love'. The papers are some I found I was sorting out my box - I used the as them as the background and the rest to piece the stocking although you struggle to see them as I have added Copics to shade them.
The Holly die is from Penny Black but suspect they have been retired as I can't find a like for them anywhere. I use Simon Says Stamp Ink Carabbean Blue for the background, snowflakes are from Impression Obsession and Simon Says Stamps Kate die
The snow Aleene's Glitter Snow and sprinkled with Hero Arts Ultra fine Glitter. I stamped the sentiment from Simons Kit onto vellum and embossed.

Simon Says STAMPtember® blog hop................Sneak Peek!!!

Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. For more than 10 years we have celebrated rubber stamping and its glory. We work to bring companies from around the world together in a one stop shopping environment. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember®" event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the delight of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.

Also, we have a very special, very limited time sale going on in celebration of STAMPtember®! Starting today, use code MAGNOLIA at checkout for 50% off all Magnolia branded items!

Here is a Sneak Peek to celebrate the STAMPtember® blog hop

LIM...............I do like to be beside the Seaside !!!

Phew!!! I only just managed Less is More this week - I've made a manic week and didn't think I would make it although I as determined to make it every week.

I use Magnolia images and coloured them with Copics and created the sea with Gelatos - hmmm - I definitely need much more practice - not my finest hour!!!

I love the sentiment 'The Time Always Turns' (again Magnolia) and I do wish the Tide will Turn for me and give me a little more time -  next week I will (I'm eternally optimistic!!!)

Clip-art-of-single-slice-of- layered-birthday-cake
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp

You should have arrived here from the lovely DEBBY

A rather simple card today - I sort of run out of time - I hung on hoping my new STAMPtember® images  etc. would arrive but sadly it didn't so I needed to quickly get a card together using in the regular STAMPtember® goodies used.
I do love CAS style cards, especially with the basically white on white.  The image is Stampendous Blowing Bubbles and I coloured them with Copics. I love the Crafter's Companion Embossalicous embossing folder Chevron - so effective.
I couldn't decide which of the STAMPtember®  product used but settled on the  Simon Says Stamp Die and Stamp Set Apothecary Labels.
I opened a box shipped from Germany I found a box full of ribbons and flowers all just tipped loosely into one white box I'd never seen before - due to the Customs I suspect.
The problem of this is I haven't a clue what anything is or where it is from. I found some white ribbon but don't now which it is although I suspect is from May Arts but couldn't locate them - probably out of stock of reduntent.

From here you need to pass on the fabulous JENN (SHURKUS)

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting
There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog , if you haven't subscribed by email you may want to so you don't miss out

Everybody Art Challenge...............A Sketch!!!

As Everybody Art Challenge we are back from out summer break and start with a

SKETCH

I've chosen one of  Mo Manning's adorable images and this one is called 'Paddy' - so cute, look at that adorable expression!!!
I coloured Paddy with Copics and left it pretty free from embellishments.  I'm not happy about the photograph as the coloured haven't turned out true to IRL - the checked panels look rather acidic where the rest turned out a rather grey green, possible as I photographed it at night although using a daylight lamp ???
The cardstock is Simon Says Midnight whilst the papers are from my stash.  The border is with a Martha Stewart Cherish and I added Memory Box Tender Leaves (wish I had some clover die). I added some Hemptique Vintage Natural twine and that is it other than the Paper Artsy Mini Text around the border of the image.

It's practically bed time before I manage to upload my challenge - I kept loosing my internet connection again. I'm with BT and I think I shall be sacking them if it can't be sorted out. Everytime I connect it swaps itself over to BT's own 'blog' and won't go anywhere !!!
Anyway - I used one of my favourite image - 'Blueberry Delight' although I decided for a change to made them Red berries this time (coloured with Copics) - along with the fun sentiment - 'Eat Dessert First' - I'm a great believer in this and sometimes as my daughter shakes her head in disgust!!
The background papers are some old ones from Hot Of The Press and I added a small charm and and cutlery set I picked up in Germany especially for the Mousies - although I can't see them using them, especially with the napkin - cut aren't they??

Well as it is now about bedtime - and long for a more successful connection on my internet!!!
Goodnight to you all
